My deepest, deepest apologies for not posting a darn thing last week. It’s been a wild ride of a week: I went from barely having an income for months to getting a gig as a hit-the-ground-running campaign manager to ending my post-Sandy displacement by finding a place to live!
I’m still in Brooklyn, NY, and now I’m back to post more content for you, Racializens. Thanks so much for your patience!
Hey all 4,179 (and counting!) of you—
We’re taking off for the rest of the holiday season off—we’ll be back on January 7, 2013.
We’re so grateful to all of you for hanging out with us this year, and we hope to have more fascinating posts for you in the new year!
—See you soon,
Andrea Plaid, Associate Editor
Well, first of all, deepest apologies for not being around for the last several weeks. I’m (still) dealing with being displaced by Superstorm Sandy—which involves sleeping on several homies’ sofas and beds—and, honestly, just been feeling out of sorts. So, I deeply appreciate all of y’all still hanging out on Tumblr. (If you want to read about my experience of voting while being displaced, check it out here.)
In the meantime, I’ve been seeing some great content, so let me share it with ya…
It’s been a wild day for me, what with an online panel discussion and prepping tweets for our collaboration with National Black Programming Consortium for the 10/1 premiere of An African Election.
But I’m here now and owe y’all some posts…and maybe some Racialicious After-Hours, yes?
Thanks for supporting the R’s Tumblr! We aim for serious, seriously cute, and some after-hours-ness. Because that’s how our world works. Or we think that’s how the world should work, at least.
Okay, we’ve given y’all enough to read for this daytime. (Part of it as an apology to make up for the lack of posts yesterday.)
We’ll be back with a little something for Racialicious After Hours, all 2,893 of you (and counting)…
